The initial consultation involves us coming to your garden/site to meet you, to discuss your requirements, your likes/dislikes and to see how we can best help you to achieve your dream garden.
If you decide to go ahead with us, we will create a detailed site analysis which looks at your garden's best features and identifies any tricky spots. We'll use this data to help us create your dream garden.
We'll create mood boards for you, which reflect your individual tastes in colours, landscaping materials, water features, plants, trees, lighting and furnishings. This helps us to identify the key areas and features you'll want in your dream garden.
We'll create our detailed design, which we call the 'Sketch Plan' or 'Outline Plan'. This is a coloured, computerised 2D plan/aerial view of our design proposal.
We will build a 3D computer model of your garden from scratch using industry standard software and create CAD and hand rendered views of our design. With the 3D model, you'll be able to walk around the space, as if the garden was real.
We will create detailed setting out plans, construction and services drawings using industry standard computer software.
These drawings are required by the contractors to prepare competitive tenders and detailed information on materials and construction methods.
We will write a detailed specification document in line with the Society of Gardens Designers standards and will send this to builders with an invitation to tender for the construction of the garden. We will conclude with a tender report, once tenders have been returned.
We will create detailed computerised Planting Plans and drawings depicting plant varieties, numbers and spacing with a list of plant and pot sizes.
Stage A - £75
The 'Full Service' = Stages B, C, D, & E.
Stages B, C, D & E are calculated using the Society of Garden Designers recommended fee scale.
For example, a garden which is estimated to cost £100,000 to construct, the 'Full Service' fee would be 10% of £100,000. i.e. £10,000.
Each stage is thus broken down in to:
Stage B (i.e. 25% of £10,000) = £2500
Stage C (i.e. 40% of £10,000) = £4000
Stage D (i.e.10% of £10,000) = £1000
Stage E (i.e.25% of £10,000) = £2500
TOTAL for Full Service (B D C & E ) £10,000
Additional costs include- Planning applications, topographical surveys and contract administration.
